Wives Network

Training and support for spouses of pastors.

Why support wives?

The sustainability of pastors in ministry is often deeply influenced by their spouses.

A pastor’s wife plays a crucial role, both impacting and being impacted by her husband's ministry. In this context, it’s important to consider who is investing in her.

The Reach Australia network, designed for spouses of pastors, provides gospel-centred teaching, training, and support.

The goal is to help pastors’ wives confidently understand their purpose and align their desires with his will.

Connecting and supporting ministry wives

Ministry wives face unique challenges and complex issues.

Our network is made up of other pastors’ wives and church planters’ wives who understand the unique aspects of this role and have walked this path for many years.

Whether life and church have been encouraging—or, at times, difficult and painful—we’d love to connect and hear your story.

It’s often a journey with both highs and lows, and we’d be glad to take a moment to say hi.

What we do

Retreats

Pastors’ wives are invited to retreats on the Gold Coast, designed to provide space for reflection and discussion on the important questions of their role.

Explore what it means to follow Jesus’ call in Matthew 28:19. Gain clarity and encouragement for ministry.

Coaching

We offer free coaching for at least two years to support spouses of pastors in the Leadership Development Program and women involved in church planting.

A coach will listen, offer encouragement, provide fresh perspectives, and help apply the gospel to situations.

Marriage and Ministry Nights

Building a healthy marriage is vital for both personal well-being and church life, but ministry pressures can make it challenging.

The Marriage and Ministry Night, hosted on Zoom, offers couples the chance to reflect on their marriage, learn from others with similar experiences, and connect with others in ministry.

"An incredible opportunity to pause, reflect, and be challenged on how we spend our time, engage with gospel opportunities, and focus on what will help us live well in light of Christ's coming."

Suzie

I have had a lot of involvement in ministry wife conferences through college years and I have to say this program was particularly unique. I highly recommend going!

Janine

My heart had become hardened by the pressures and difficulties of ministry, and yet God used the retreat to soften my heart towards him and the gospel, and empowered me to persevere at a time when I felt ready to give up.

Karen

It’s a well-packaged program. It’s a journey that brings fun, experience, new learning and Bible into play.

Kelly

The retreats have been big highlights for me over the last two years in my growth as a Christian, and growth in my role at church and also in supporting my husband. I learned a lot about myself and had some very helpful discussions about issues unique to pastor’s wives.

Mel

This has helped me accept my unique role in being here to build God’s church, and to partner my husband and children in doing that.

Tiana

My husband did the Leadership Development Program. The Wives Network has helped me be on the same page and catch the vision. It's made me realise we need to be pulling together. I want to be working better with my husband to build Christ’s church.

Yvette

It's helped me reflect on what I can do when my youngest starts school next year, and how I could use that time to build the church.

Carly

I feel less alone after having shared experiences other pastors’ wives. I've realised how precious God’s church is and I need to get in step with God.

Sharna

I've felt incredibly enabled to keep on using whatever opportunity is in front of me. It's helped me to keep doing that in sharper and sharper clearer ways, biblically grounded, and knowing where I can turn for help.

Sarah A

I've realised that God wants to do the work of saving people through me. He has caught me up to his bigger purpose of saving people.
