Local churches are at the heart of God's mission. The five stages below describe a spectrum of partnership, from prayer through to multiplication. Find where you are, and identify your next step.
Church plants are named and prayed for in your gathered life.
Your congregation knows who is planting, where, and who they're trying to reach.
Your church gives financially to support new churches, not as a one-off, but as a standing commitment.
Your church trains and releases church planters and teams, knowing this means giving away some of your best people.
Church planting has become part of how your church thinks about itself. Not a one-time event, but an ongoing posture.
You're building the culture, structures, and relationships to plant again and again.
Build a network of new churches, and a culture that keeps producing planters.
Work in cooperation with other churches to reach a region.
Whether your church has been working toward church planting for years, or you're only beginning to sense a call you don't yet know how to act on, start with a conversation. We'll help you find a clear next step, whatever your size, context, or starting point.
New churches reach new people. Research consistently shows that newer congregations are more effective at reaching those outside the faith than established ones.
Multiplication is one of the most direct ways the church can fulfil its commission — not instead of growing existing churches, but alongside it. God's desire is that all people turn to him. Christ's commission commands his followers to make disciples of all nations. The church is his chosen instrument for doing it.

No. Multiplication is a posture — a commitment to raise and release disciples, leaders, and churches for the mission field. Planting is the most visible expression, but it starts much earlier: in how you disciple people, how you develop leaders, and how you think about the purpose of your congregation.
Readiness is less about size or resources than about conviction and culture. Some of the most effective church plants have been sent by small churches with limited budgets. The question isn't "do we have enough?" but "do we believe this is part of what we're for?" Get in touch and we can help you work through it honestly.

Start where you are. Every church can pray — and that's not a consolation prize, it's the foundation everything else is built on. Resourcing another plant, even modestly, is within reach for most churches. The network exists precisely so that smaller churches don't have to do this alone.
Fear of losing people. Uncertainty about who to send. Financial pressure. A culture that has never thought this way before.
These are real obstacles, and they're surmountable. The churches in this network have worked through all of them. You don't have to figure it out from scratch.

We want to reach Australia together. Your church, at any stage, is part of what God is doing across this country.
No matter where you're located across Australia, you and your church can be praying for new churches and new leaders. Sign up to stay informed.
There's no single model. Some churches plant independently; others partner with a network like Reach Australia. Some plant geographically nearby; others send teams interstate or overseas. Multisite, church revitalisation, cross-cultural planting – the right model depends on your context, capacity, and calling. We can help you work out what fits.
Start with a conversation. Get in touch and we'll organise a time to talk. No obligation, no agenda beyond helping you find clarity. We've had this conversation with churches at every stage, and we're happy to have it with yours.
An Australia where every community has access to a healthy, gospel-centred church. That's the vision driving the network, and it's bigger than any one denomination, city, or planting model. 150 churches have already launched in partnership with Reach Australia. We're praying and working toward 150 more by 2030. But the goal isn't a number; it's a nation reached for Christ.
Pray. Sign up for the weekly prayer points, bring church plants before God in your gathered life, and let that shape what comes next. If you're ready to go further, get in touch. A conversation costs nothing and might change everything.
