Reach Australia is dedicated to promoting healthy leadership as the foundation of growing healthy, evangelistic, and multiplying churches throughout Australia. Through its focus on developing and equipping senior pastors, the network has achieved significant impact over the last decade by supporting leaders to start new churches, and more recently revitalising existing churches.
We are thrilled to announce that in 2023 Reach Australia is expanding its scope to include building healthy teams. By promoting healthy leadership teams, we aim to foster confident and collaborative teams of men and women serving Christ together, and increasing the number of women serving in Christian leadership roles.
To support this new focus, we are excited to introduce Jo Gibbs as an Effective Teams Consultant for Reach Australia. Jo has been an active member of the network for several years and brings over two decades of diverse church ministry experience. In church-based roles, she was leading the care and discipleship ministry at St Paul's Anglican Church Castle Hill, where she helped establish the Sydney Christian Care Network. Jo has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Anglican Deaconess Ministries, starting the ADM Women’s preaching group across Sydney. For 11 years she served with CMS in South Asia where she led leadership training, church planting and discipleship initiatives for the Muslim background Christian community.
Jo is passionate about equipping and encouraging women for gospel ministry and seeing women using their gifts for God's glory. With her extensive team leadership experience, Jo will be working with men and women to build healthy teams in churches across the Reach Australia network.
