Convictions for Growth and Change in Your Church

If you've never been to Foundations before, start here. Get key convictions that underpin how our network thinks about church, growth and change. We cover outcome thinking, healthy church teams and the need for clarity and responsibility. Wrestle with how church leaders need to be regularly challenging the status quo as they seek to make mature disciples in ever-increasing number.

  • Why passion for numerical growth is dangerous but necessary, and how it brings focus, courage and decision-making power
  • Church as a pathway and ecosystem
  • A rethink of the roles and responsibilities of church leaders
  • Five key ministry principles that lie behind pretty much everything at the conference
Foundations 2

Achieving Clarity in Your Church

This stream is for people who have done the first stream in a previous year. Foundations 2 focuses on 'why' and Foundations 2 focuses on 'how'.

  • Clarity on your impact in church as a leader
  • Leaders as an impediment to lasting and effective change
  • What happens when we don't challenge the status quo
  • Taking and giving responsibility
  • Building a healthy team culture
  • Recruiting, developing and managing leaders
  • Implementing change for growth using the NOW-WHERE-HOW framework
  • Case studies with a church as they've implemented change
Multiply: Towards Planting

If you’ve got a heart to reach the lost, and if you’ve ever had that nagging question about whether church planting is for you - come along. This day is for individuals and couples to connect with and hear from experienced planters.

Hear what their journeys were like, and begin to develop a personalised road map for what it might look like for you to explore church planting.

  • Why planting is crucial to reach new people and for Australia’s gospel ecosystem
  • What a church planter looks like
  • What the journey to planting involves
  • What your next steps should be
Multiply: Towards Multisite

If you’re interested in planting (either leading a plant or sending a church plant) and have wanted to explore different models for sustainable, repeatable, connected church planting - this day is for you. Church planting is hard work, resource intensive, and can be isolating - but it doesn’t have to be.

We’ll hear from Paul Harrington (Trinity Network Adelaide - a network of 13 churches) and Wade Burnett (Planter, Multisite Solutions consultant and Executive Pastor of Maclean Bible Church - a network of five churches with over 10,000 people) on their experiences building church networks.

  • The biblical considerations when building a network of churches
  • Practical frameworks for how to begin and maintain healthy networks
  • Stories from Australia and the US on how this has worked in different contexts
