Beginning in 2025 Josh and Sarah Allen, with their church Laneway, are looking to train and support a church planter in preparation for launching a new church in Tahneit, one of Melbourne’s growing suburbs. This is a church planting residency.
On average only 45% new churches reach viability to survive long term. Within our network, that increases to 80%. Residencies equip church planters to lead churches sustainably, sharing the gospel with longer-lasting impact.
It costs $100,000 for a church planting family to complete a residency and prepare to launch a new church. We thank God with Josh, Sarah and Laneway Church for the partnerships that are helping get there. But there is still a funding gap of $15,000.
